there are the coolest photos in the current issue of national geographic--one is of a crocodile's tail and it looks straight out of jurassic park, but it is real. the cameraman set up an infrared camera next to a watering hole in Africa and the camera is triggered to take photos when an animal approaches...on the national georgraphic website they also have video. there is also an interesting read about endangered elephants in chad in the issue. The elephant article also makes an interesting comparison between the ivory trade/poaching and the burgeoning conflict in eastern Chad.

I was just reading that article this morning, and yes - that photo of the croc tail is really stunning..!! But the serval cat is also beautiful. I have not seen any videos at the website. Maybe later
